R o g u e . seeks new staff.
To any current student of our high school, if you are interested in being a member on the staff of Rogue, now's your chance.
We are looking for a few new staffers to fill in for our graduating seniors, and we'd like to have them on staff well before our seniors graduate. In that vein, if you are (1) a poet and (2) interested in meeting weekly to share your poetry as we as a staff develop plans for our publication then you may be rogue material.
The staff of Rogue believe in Equal Opportunity for all, so all who are interested should apply. Please know that we reject the stereotyping of poets. None of us sits in a darkened room for hours on end being emo and hating life. We're athletes, artists, geniuses, idiots, serious-minded, silly, musicians, and magicians.
FAQ:
How do I apply? Simply write a one-page informal essay explaining why you would like to be on staff. It's that easy.
What's my deadline? Let's say...Friday, March 2nd (if that's a Friday).
What IS being a staffer? Mostly, we meet weekly (Fridays) after school and share new poetry and discuss current issues regarding our publication or fund raising. Additionally, when we're making a publication, we drum up interest in classrooms, make signs, then read all of the submissions, mock-up our magazine, photocopy it, bind it, and organize a RogueNight for the poets who are published to come and read their material in a live venue.
If you have other questions, leave them as a comment on this site, and a staffer will reply.
Regards,
The Staff of Rogue
